Hello Beautiful People! I am Emily, the quirky friend of the Megs that has been living on the east coast for several years trying to get my PhD in Microbiology and feel very active in the “science so everyone can understand it” movement. I have finished the research portion of the work and am onto writing! Yay! Translation – mounds of time to get bored and surf the cosmos. Current interests include but not limited to: Job Hunting in the San Fran area, Tiny House design and living, go to stay green but chic, etc. I would like to be good to the environment so it is good to me!
Things I would like to chat with you all about –
Hair care - I have a thick mane that has grown to love my Chi. Something tells me though 150 degrees isn’t all that great for your hair or that scalp!
Makeup – So don’t get mad, but I’m one of those people that washes their face once a day with water only in the shower and has remained problem free. *Knocking on wood* But I do like to sparkle… it distracts people from my freckles, so my latest interests are –
Eye shadow – W3ll People’s Elitist Shimer Mineral Shadow
Skin care – I do have practically ghostly skin, the ladies at the nail place like to tell me I need a tan. As I learn to embrace the white, let’s explore the moisturizers and sunscreens!
Feet care – My favorite body part is my feet… hence the small yet significant shoe addiction, so I am in constantly search for sparkly nail polish (I have four Zoya spoons coming anyday!) and moisturizers for summer. Those flip flops can be brutal. I don’t think I’m ready to give up my pedis but let’s figure out if there are areas, creams, techniques we can avoid that won’t be good for us.
I believe in using pictures as well as words to convey messages, so let me leave you with this until our next chat!
Can we enjoy all our pleasures in the least harmful way? I think so!
