As it turns out, out finding a natural body lotion that I'm wild about has been pretty difficult. I am still on the hunt because I still haven't found one that blows me away. I have found a couple that I really like though, and one is from Acure Organics.
Acure is a company with a conscience. They donate a portion of their sales to finding a cure for breast cancer. their packaging is adorable, very simple but bright. their products seem to be available at a lot of different retailers (at least in our area).
I wanted to buy the Acure body lotion lotion that has Co Q10 in it because I loved my Nivea lotion that had Co Q10 in it. By mistake, I picked up their Lemongrass + Ginger Firming lotion. I was actually pleasantly surprised by my accident. I helps my skin hold moisture really well even all day. It feels really nice on my skin and absorbs really quickly. The Lemongrass and Ginger smell was not at all like the perfumy smells that I am used to accompanying my moisturizers. I didn't think I liked the smell at first, but it has definitely grown on me. .
There are some things I would change about this moisturizer. I am not a huge fan of the pump mechanism on the bottle. the pump is small and I have to pump about 5 or 6 times to get enough product for each leg, which can get annoying. I also with that it came in a larger size. I feel like this is a common theme with natural body lotions. So far, all the ones I have bought have come in small 8 OZ bottles. I don't want to have to stock up or keep going back to the store for more...I use it every day!
So my hunt isn't over. I am still looking for a body lotion that I am over the moon about. In the meantime, I do recommend Acure. They make a great product for a great cause.
